EVENTS AND CUSTOMERS
- We do corporate events; we produce outdoor events for several thousand people, investor and start-up seminars, as well as Stranger Things-themed parties in an abandoned office. We spent a couple of years making virtual and hybrid events and have been able to continuously develop our skills. In addition to events, we provide our clients with promoters, event assistants and decorating help to theme different seasons. Recently, social media services have also become more involved in what we do.
- Currently in production are business festivals for Turku, Biohacker Summitt for Amsterdam, stands for festivals and Christmas openings for several shopping centres. Some of the productions are done on a turnkey basis while others we work from the client’s office, leading their team to make the events diamond! Venues range from the Exhibition Centre to the forest, from festivals to industrial halls and technololos. There’s no time to be bored.
- We organise events and promotions for shopping centres; our client is a number of larger shopping and city centres in the metropolitan area. As you might guess, events and attractions come in all shapes and sizes; from simple musical performances to promos, children’s events, family activities and even birthday parties filled with Roni Back shopping centre fans. Previously, we also ran Tubelounge in Itis, specialising in tubetting.
TO DO’S WAYS OF DOING THINGS
- Our aim is to make experiential and impactful events with nice people. We want to be someone that our customers, partners and subcontractors can turn to for whatever they need. So, if necessary, we’ll even help you clean out your warehouse if your client asks us to.
- It is important for us to know our customers and therefore their goals well. Why is something being done? This enables us to better serve and think about the best solutions for their events. Over the years, we have honed our collaboration with our long-term clients, who describe us as an outsourced part of their team.
- Case studies of some of the events can be found here and Insta is full of flickers!
OUR GOALS & VALUES
- We want to do something new, different, impressive and polished. We want to harness new technology, lift the trends that are bubbling under the surface and support small, local and innovative players without compromising the bottom line.
- It is important for us to be customer-oriented: proactive, caring and open. We always aim to respond to our customers’ messages within four hours. As events approach, we respond to needs and messages outside office hours.
- #stopdeadline . We want to be a transparent and reliable player. This is reflected in our honest communication and open pricing to our customers. We also live up to this ethos, both towards our subcontractors and with each other. Sometimes we laugh and sometimes we grit our teeth together.
- We strive to incorporate environmental friendliness and sustainable solutions in all our products.
- To Do supports equality and we have a safe space policy in place for our events. We want to be a fair operator; we value our volunteers, roustabouts, event assistants, customers and speakers alike. Our events are hate speech free and we follow safe space principles at our events.
THE WAY WE WORK
- We are a young, hungry and constantly evolving agency. There aren’t always ready-made solutions, ready-made foundations or the right way to do things. We develop together every day and everyone has a say in how we work, how the business grows and the solutions we choose.
- Each of us competes, compiles bids, produces, dumps and builds when necessary. We’re a small company, so our days are varied and everyone helps each other out when needed. Sometimes we jump from the producer’s boots to the sling, drive a van or serve a starter. When our own work is lighter, we help others with both production and events.
- We don’t have an office. Work is done remotely; from home, cafes, client premises or even from a cottage. Most meetings are held at our clients’ premises or in venues in the capital region. Events, meetings, construction and demolition days are often live several days a week in the metropolitan area. If necessary, we travel to where the action is. On Tuesdays, we meet live among the team in Järvenpää and update each other and the events. So our future colleagues should be prepared for the fact that there are often events in the Helsinki region at least three days a week.
- We have effective solutions for remote communication and project management. If required, we also work in smaller teams face-to-face on pre-productions and events.
- Working remotely and managing your time is challenging; it requires self-discipline both in starting and finishing work. Self-direction requires planning, initiative and creative problem-solving skills. The whole team is always there to help and support you, even if not necessarily at your side.
- Everyone builds their own day flexibly, taking into account the needs of our clients and events. During the Duun, you can (and are encouraged to) go to the gym, jogging or even to the hairdresser. You have the flexibility to adjust your own working hours, as long as the agreed tasks are completed and the dedis are met. Some are morning and some evening people. This is taken into account in the flexibility of the timetable. For the most part, we have agreed that everyone will be at work between 10am and 4pm as a norm, but this often varies if there has been a gig at the weekend or the previous evening was extended by an event.
- We sometimes work long hours at events and also in the evenings, at night and on weekends. Sometimes several days in a row. We’re flexible on both sides, so we always try to organise holidays and other trips where possible. When employees are stretched at event times, To Do also wants to be flexible at other times. For us, it’s important to find the right type of person who wants to do something new and different in a genuinely customer-focused way. When it comes to making events, trust between the team is everything, which is why we focus on good team spirit and making sure everyone is pulling together.
Here we are. Shall we continue the debate? Check out our open recruitment here!
