From 2021, we have been honoured to get to produce one of Slush’s side events and a legendary one at that; the OpenOcean Poker Tournament!
An evening of poker brings together international entrepreneurs, investors, talent and the brightest stars of the emerging tech world. The coveted seats at the OpenOcean poker tables have sold out in less than 24 hours since the event was announced, and invited guests who have come to watch the games are confirming their attendance at the event at a rapid pace. This is an event you don’t want to miss! We at To Do were more than excited to be involved in making the event even more spectacular, glittering and legendary!
The poker tournament has been held at the Old Student House in Helsinki. The event can’t get much more central than that in Helsinki. The aim of the evening has been to play and network in a high-quality setting, but in a relaxed atmosphere. Guests have had the opportunity to take photos at the photo booth, try out arcade games and of course enjoy the open bar and restaurant. Guests have enjoyed the opportunity to meet other key players in the industry ecosystem and the poker games were intense. The fight for victory at the final table has been a tight “final cabal” with other participants gathering around to watch the excitement of the game. After a long game, it was easy for the winners to vent! Even though the Slush was about to start the next day, there was a desire to continue the evening after the official poker tournament. So To Do has also organised extensions to the event and directed the visiting team to continue the evening.
OpenOcean’s legendary poker tournament has been a success by many measures, and praise has come from participants, partners and commissioners alike. Here’s to a great journey together with an exciting event client and we look forward to seeing what the future collaboration brings!
