WHEN JUST NICE IS NOT ENOUGH
To Do ready to exceed expectations!
We were happy to be able to produce a real carnival for the music gang. During the evening, guests enjoyed hot dogs, pizza, popovers and a choice of five different bars. As well as great music, “fortune tellers” entertained in their tents, shots were taken at the string-pulling station and the evening was crowned with Fullsteam Party Karaoke!
EVENT FOR EVENT PROFESSIONALS
When Fullsteam, a company that produces festivals and gigs and manages artists, contacted us about their birthday party, we were thrilled. We knew straight away that it was going to be a cool party! After thinking about it for a while, we also realised something that was a bit of a fever pitch: we would be doing an event for event professionals and there would be a lot of industry people there. This is the most demanding clientele we would have to deal with for a while. The event and its details would have to be polished to diamond perfection and the spirit and vibe of Fullsteam would have to be there to create the right atmosphere for the evening. Of course we can do this, because that’s what we do!
The party was held at the Cable Factory in the Sea Cable Hall, which is one of our team’s favourite venues for events. The reason for this is simple; it’s a completely empty space, which allows us to design the event from start to finish, entirely according to the client’s needs and wishes. An empty venue gives room for creativity!
THEEMANA SIRKUS
They wanted a spectacular entrance to the evening. As the party was a celebration of the past and the future, we decided to create a spectacular double-sided gateway with the company’s old logos on one side and the new ones on the other. The gate was 5.5 m high and just over 10 m wide.
As the Sea Cable Hall was a large space, we were able to bring in several food carts and the bars were handled conveniently from the partners’ own branded carts! Food carts, drink carts and of course popcorn points were driven in a circus caravan style circular shape.
We built a circular stage in the middle of the area for speeches and performers. The space was furnished with both vertical tables and seating areas. Light bulb chains with a circus theme were hung to create atmosphere and red light was used to create street credibility in an otherwise colourful theme. Giant helium balloons completed the look.
To entertain the public, tents for fortune tellers and a variety of fairground games were planned for the area. The game of string pulling was given a new twist, with shots being taken by pulling a string instead of the traditional prizes. The programme otherwise focused on socialising, good food and drink alongside DJ music. The highlight of the evening was the Fullsteam Party Karaoke, a traditional event for this kind of party, which the participants had already requested in advance. Without revealing the privacy of the participants, we can tell you that, as an event for musicians, the quality of the singers’ performances was unbelievable and the evening was filled with one amazing interpretation after another!
FULLSTEAM’S VIBE FROM THE PARTY:
“Although Fullsteam’s core business is organising events, concerts and festivals, we wanted to celebrate our company’s big 20th anniversary in a way that for once allowed all our staff to be there without any responsibilities or obligations. The planning, budgeting, pre-production, day-of-event organisation, post-event work and final reporting of our party all went according to our wishes with the help of To Do’s professional and extremely nice team.”
