Here are To Do&#8217;s top tips for participants on how to get the nets in the water: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be prepared: before attending an event, research the participants, speakers and partners. Create a list of people you would like to meet and research their backgrounds. This will help you approach them with more confidence and knowledge of their interests.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set a goal: It is important to know why you are attending and what you hope to achieve by networking. Whether it&#8217;s making new contacts, finding potential customers or learning about a new industry, having a clear goal in mind will help you make the most of your time. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be authentic: Remember to be yourself. Authenticity is the key to making meaningful connections, and people are more likely to engage with genuine and open people.
