ITISSEN TUBELOUNGE – A CENTRE FOR YOUTH CREATIVITY

Itis shopping centre has been a long-term partner of To Do, and together we have organised numerous memorable events, such as Roni Back’s birthday parties, Mikael Gabriel’s gigs and the annual Itis staff party. Our cooperation has always been joyful and seamless, and the To Do team knows the Itis corridors like the back of their hands.

OBJECTIVE: TO ACTIVATE YOUNG PEOPLE AND PROMOTE A CULTURE OF TUBA

In 2019, together with Itis, we were able to create something unique for young people – a space where they can explore the world of tuba and develop their own creative skills. This is how Tubelounge was born, Europe’s first space for young people dedicated to tuba.

SOLUTION: DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TUBELOUNG

Ideation and production: the design and construction of Tubelounge was handled by To Do in just two months. While the paint was drying, customized furniture was built in the space.

Active: Tubelounge was launched on 9 February 2019, providing a free and safe environment for young people to learn about video making with the guidance of popular tuba artists.

✔Maintenance and programme: the To Do ran the space, guiding young people’s activities and organising events in the space to inspire young people to be creative.

RESULTS: THE MEETING PLACE OF CHOICE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Positive reception: the Tubelounge received high praise from both young people and their parents, offering a unique opportunity to learn and practice tuba.

Community building: the space served as a meeting place where young people could network and share ideas with like-minded people.

Long-term impact: the Tubelounge reinforced Itis’ reputation as a youth-friendly and innovative shopping centre.
